Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Glatt (ranked 1770 p4p, 264 weight class) and Scott Murley (ranked 601 p4p, 97 weight class). Glatt comes to the cage accompanied by Killed by death. Murley has chosen Rage Against The Machine | Bulls On Parade as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Doug Glatt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Murley! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glatt throws a hook but Murley blocks it. Murley now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Murley lands with a right hand. Murley looks to land a left hand but Glatt moved out of range nicely. Glatt is looking to counter punch. Murley misses with a double jab.
Glatt throws a lazy head kick and Murley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Glatt misses with a body kick. Glatt throws a sloppy head kick and Murley moves into the clinch. Glatt misses with a body punch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Murley takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A short right hand to the side of the head by Glatt. Murley lands a body punch in the clinch. Murley lands a shoulder strike. Murley works on Glatt's body with a couple of short punches. Glatt is trying to break the clinch but Murley has him pressed against the cage. Glatt working hard to break the clinch. Glatt is trying to break the clinch but Murley is controlling him. Glatt throws a lazy body kick letting Murley counter with a right hand. Murley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Glatt sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice uppercut there from Glatt. Glatt misses with a few strikes there.
Murley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Glatt circles away quickly and effectively. Murley looks to score with a jab to the body but Glatt is just out of range. Murley fails to land with a series of punches.
Glatt throws the left hand but Murley avoids the punch easily. A swing and a miss from Glatt. Murley swings for the body but Glatt moves out of range.
Glatt looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. The fighters circle momentarily. Murley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Murley has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Murley slips a jab from Glatt. Glatt throws a head kick that misses. Doug Glatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Glatt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Murley momentarily.

It looks like Scott Murley has been cut. Murley missing with a left hand there. Glatt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Glatt throws a hook to the side of Murley's head but Murley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Murley misses with a series of wild punches.

Glatt is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Murley. Glatt throws a leg kick and Murley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Murley has a couple of punches blocked by Glatt.

Murley steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Glatt. Murley lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Glatt finds it's way through Murley's defenses. Murley on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Glatt. Glatt obviously looking to wear him down.
Glatt throws a lazy head kick and Murley counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Murley taking a breather. Murley scores with a hook to the body. Glatt misses with a punch on the inside.
Murley lands with a left to the head. Murley has Glatt pressed against the cage, preventing Glatt from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Murley lands a nice shot to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Murley lands a hook that snaps the head of Glatt backwards. Glatt wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Murley throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Glatts head. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Murley. Murley's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Murley moves out of range as Glatt strikes. Murley gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Murley misses with a body shot.
Murley thuds a left hand into Glatt's body. Murley avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Murley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Murley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Murley dips to his left and cracks Glatt with an uppercut! Glatt goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Murley looks like he wants to counter punch here. Glatt throws a sloppy head kick and Murley counters with a lovely straight right hand! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big left from Glatt misses. Glatt sets himself, and Murley steps forward looking for the clinch! Glatt avoids it this time. Murley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Murley has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Glatt drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Murley takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. A head kick misses from Glatt. Glatt throws an overhand right that lands on Murley's shoulder, as Murley tries to avoid the shot. Glatt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Murley. A little feinted left hand from Glatt on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Glatt misses with a kick to the body.
Murley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Glatt. Glatt appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Glatt avoids the body shot from Murley.

Scott Murley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Scott Murley's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Glatt throws a head kick that misses. Murley takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Glatt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murley was well out of range. Murley pushes Glatt up against the cage in a clinch. Doug Glatt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Murley prevents Glatt from breaking the clinch. Glatt looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Murley has Glatt pressed against the cage, preventing Glatt from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Glatt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Murley wants to slow Glatt down by chopping away at his legs. Glatt looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Glatt misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Murley counters with a series of strikes. Glatt will be more careful next time no doubt. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Murley, as that shot connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Glatt wants to slow Murley down by chopping away at his legs. Murley now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Glatt throws a hook but Murley avoids it easily. Murley tries to counter with a clinch but Glatt shakes him off and moves away. Murley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Murley moves out of range as Glatt strikes. Murley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Glatt. Murley slips a jab from Glatt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Murley dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nice body punch from Murley. Murley moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A combination from Murley does no damage. The crowd cheers as Murley lands an impressive looking overhand right. Glatt doesn't seem phased though. Murley throws a right and a left that both miss. Glatt lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Scott Murley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Murley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
