Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Driskill (ranked 5850 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Tate (ranked 7467 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Driskill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Tate ! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Driskill takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Driskill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tate tries to clinch there but Driskill circles away.
Driskill swats away the attempt to clinch by Tate . Driskill scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Tate tries to buck Driskill off but Driskill is having none of it. Driskill takes a little break here. Tate wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Tate tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Driskill tries to stand but Tate is controlling his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Driskill looks up at the clock and then as Tate takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Driskill smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Driskill in side control, just content to control the action for now. Driskill tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Driskill cracks Tate with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tate is trying to get back to half guard. Driskill is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tate will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Driskill scoring with punches and elbows. Driskill looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tate is trying to control Driskill's posture but Driskill avoids it. Driskill in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tate struggling a bit here. Driskill works to advance to full mount. Tate defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Driskill controlling from mount. Tate is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Tate bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Driskill is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Tate should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Driskill postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tate looks a forlorn figure.

Driskill landing punches. Driskill has hold of Tate 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tate manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Driskill with the ground and pound from mount. Tyler Driskill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Driskill is landing with some decent strikes but Tate is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Tate that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The cut above Tommy Tate 's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Tate is breathing heavily. Driskill controlling from the full mount. Driskill scoring with strikes but Tate is staying in there. Driskill controlling the position easily from mount. Driskill looking to secure an arm triangle but Tate defends it well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tate working to try and regain half guard.

Tyler Driskill dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Tommy Tate 's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Horrible takedown attempt by Tate or perhaps it was just good defense by Driskill, which made it look bad. Driskill closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Driskill lands in his opponent's guard. Tate is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Driskill is aware though and is defending well. Driskill wanted to stand there but Tate had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tate is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tate takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Driskill seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Driskill is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Driskill stays in close to Tate 's body and controls the position. Driskill passes Tate 's left leg - he's now in half guard. Driskill drops an elbow to the side of Tate 's head. Driskill will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Driskill stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Tate tries to clinch up but Driskill circles away and keeps his distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tate shoots in looking for a takedown but Driskill manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tate 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Driskill swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Driskill closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Driskill pulls guard successfully.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Driskill in particular looking to stall. Driskill lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Driskill controlling the action here. Tate kicks Driskill off and gets back to his feet. Driskill shoots in and bounces Tate off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tate being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tate has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Driskill is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tate . The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Driskill wants to stand but Tate is controlling his arm.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyler Driskill showed his dominance in that final round. Well Driskill has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
