The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Golem.
Golem looks to score with a jab to the body but Petrov is just out of range.
Petrov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Golem lands a really nice looking cross but Petrov seems unphased.
Golem looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Golem moves into range and connects with a jab.
Golem swings for the body but Petrov moves out of range.
It seemed like Petrov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A telegraphed right hand from Golem misses the target.
Golem moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Petrov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Golem missing with a left hand there. Petrov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Golem lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Golem moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Petrov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Golem pinned against the cage. Golem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Petrov takes one to the side of the head.
Golem looks to throw the jab but Petrov is out of range.

and Petrov counters with a takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Petrov happy to just control the position for now.

Petrov swings around for an armbar but Golem sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Petrov's guard.

Petrov is looking for a triangle but Golem pushes his legs off easily.

Petrov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Golem defends well.
Petrov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Petrov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Golem escapes and throws Petrov's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Golem tries to stand but Petrov is controlling his head.

Petrov regains half guard.
Petrov wants to improve his position but Golem is controlling well.

Petrov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Golem pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Golem seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Petrov tries to get to full guard but Golem has control of the leg.
Petrov is pressing down on Golem's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Petrov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Golem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Golem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Petrov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Golem is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Petrov has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Golem is looking to defend but Petrov has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Golem! Petrov pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Golem taps out and this one is all over!
