Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Belfort, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice takedown defense from Belfort. No joy for Pirolla on that attempt.
Belfort throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Belfort is looking to clinch but Pirolla is avoiding it.
Belfort throws a nice looking combination but Pirolla bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pirolla shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Belfort is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Pirolla is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Belfort has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Pirolla has hold of Belfort's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Belfort manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Belfort defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pirolla.

Pirolla jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Belfort manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Pirolla is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Belfort knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Belfort holds on to Pirolla's head and controls the position momentarily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Belfort is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pirolla asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Belfort lands with a nice combination. Pirolla backs away looking to recover.
Abner Pirolla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pirolla drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pirolla is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pirolla drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pirolla jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pirolla thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Pirolla drops back, looking for a kneebar! Belfort looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Belfort looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Belfort!
Belfort tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Belfort wants to control but Pirolla is keeping him busy.
Pirolla manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Pirolla is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
