Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Silvio Dante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Massimo Damiani!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ron Honeybunn and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dante is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Damiani.
Damiani connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Damiani tries to clinch
and Dante counters with a nice uppercut.
Damiani connects with a leg kick. Dante looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Dante is trying to break free.
Dante lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Dante pushes Damiani back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

and Dante connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been told by Dante's head coaches at RWB GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Dante throws a shot from downtown. Damiani moves away and avoids it.
Dante stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Damiani.
Dante takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Damiani scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Damiani gets a clinch.
Damiani keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dante's efforts to push away.
Dante misses with the head strike.

Damiani lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Dante to his knees! Damiani keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

In his post fight interview, Massimo Damiani started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
