Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Dryll (ranked 4023 p4p, 523 weight class) and Joshua Syracuse (ranked 3609 p4p, 484 weight class). Evan Dryll has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Dryll! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joshua Syracuse! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Damien Edna and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dryll throws a big shot that misses. Evan Dryll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Syracuse throws a jab but it's blocked by Dryll. Syracuse jabbing away but nothing is landing. Dryll just misses with a punch to the body.
Syracuse takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Syracuse cracks Dryll with an open hand slap. Syracuse lands a jab. Syracuse throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dryll counters with a straight right hand. Syracuse avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A decent looking cross lands there for Syracuse. Dryll misses the jab. Dryll misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Syracuse lands with a cross. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Some wild striking there from Dryll.
Dryll swings widly with a right hand
and Syracuse counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Dryll thows a left - swing and a miss! Dryll definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Some wild striking there from Dryll.
That's one minute gone in the round. Syracuse throws a jab when Dryll was well out of range. Nice defenses there by Dryll. Syracuse lands with a straight right. Dryll didn't see that one coming. Dryll pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Syracuse has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Dryll rushes Syracuse and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Syracuse. Dryll lands a nice uppercut. Dryll blocks a body shot from Syracuse. Dryll lands an uppercut. Syracuse tries to circle away but Dryll has him pinned against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Syracuse. Dryll softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Syracuse wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dryll has him pressed against the cage. Syracuse tries a body shot but Dryll blocks it.
Dryll lands a hook that snaps the head of Syracuse backwards.
Syracuse is rocked! Syracuse trying to land knees to the body.
Syracuse is still on wobbly legs! Can Dryll finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dryll lands with a short head shot on the inside. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dryll managing to block the knees to the body from Syracuse.
Syracuse takes a shot to the head. Syracuse working hard to break the clinch. Dryll misses with a short punch on the inside. Dryll lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Syracuse to his knees! Dryll keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evan Dryll! An out of breath Evan Dryll thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Joshua Syracuse spoke after the fight, saying 'Congratulations to my opponent. He was the better fighter tonight.'.
