Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Caleb Gould!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gunnar Ivarsson!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gould misses with a head kick.

Gould is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Ivarsson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ivarsson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ivarsson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gould is keeping the position for now.
Ivarsson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gould moves forwards but Ivarsson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Ivarsson rushes Gould and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gould wants to take the fight to the mat but Ivarsson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ivarsson is looking to break free of the clinch but Gould has double underhooks.

Ivarsson is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Gould looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Ivarsson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gould has him pressed against the cage.

Ivarsson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gould has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Horrible takedown attempt by Gould or perhaps it was just good defense by Ivarsson, which made it look bad.
Ivarsson tries to counter by closing the distance.

Gould shoots in and gets a takedown into Ivarsson's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ivarsson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gould doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gould manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gunnar Ivarsson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gould is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ivarsson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gould is looking to defend but Ivarsson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gould! Ivarsson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gould taps out and this one is all over!
