Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Baratheon (ranked 1375 p4p, 171 weight class) and Danny Greene (ranked 2183 p4p, 244 weight class). Danny Greene acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Baratheon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Greene!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baratheon throws a body shot but no joy.
Greene drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Baratheon defends it well.
Baratheon misses with a double jab.
Baratheon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Greene was well out of range. Poor timing from Baratheon.
Greene moves out of range as Baratheon strikes.
Baratheon tries to bum rush Greene with a series of wild strikes but Greene uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Baratheon throws a lazy uppercut

and Greene counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baratheon won't be happy with that.
Baratheon tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Baratheon is looking to get to half guard.
Baratheon gets back to half guard.
Greene slips a nice elbow through Baratheon's hands, connecting with Baratheon's forehead.

Greene working over Baratheon with some ground and pound. Baratheon looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Greene thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Greene looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baratheon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Baratheon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Greene slips a nice elbow through Baratheon's hands, connecting with Baratheon's forehead.
Baratheon is looking for a sweep. Greene is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Greene connects with a nice short shot to Baratheon's temple.
Greene drops an elbow to the side of Baratheon's head.
Greene has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Greene seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Greene fails with the takedown.
Baratheon is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Baratheon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Greene tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Greene fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Baratheon. Greene does a little dance to reset his feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Greene! But no joy.

and Greene decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Baratheon's guard.

Baratheon is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Baratheon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Greene bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Baratheon throws a predictable looking body shot

and Greene counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Baratheon wants to get back to his feet but Greene is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Greene's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Baratheon throws a left and a right that both miss

and Greene counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Greene cracks Baratheon with a solid left hand.
Greene lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Greene accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Baratheon controls Greene momentarily but Greene frees himself.

Greene wants to stand but Baratheon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bobby Baratheon.

Danny Greene opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
