Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Ruth (ranked 383 p4p, 56 weight class) and Ghazi Okah (ranked 150 p4p, 20 weight class). Okah has chosen Rock Stone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Ruth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ghazi Okah! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okah thuds his right hand into Ruth's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Ruth scores with a jab. Okah acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Okah moves out of range of the strikes. Ruth misses with an uppercut. Okah lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Good standup being displayed there by Okah as he connects with a hook. Okah turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ruth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruth lands a lovely overhand right. Ruth blocks a jab. Okah pushes Ruth up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ruth uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Okah. A looping hook to the body misses from Ruth. Okah does a little dance to reset his feet. Okah looks to land a right hand but Ruth moved out of range. Ghazi Okah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Okah lands a jab to the head.
Ruth throws out a loose jab but Okah uses good head movement to avoid it. Okah appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Okah misses with a right hand and Ruth counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Okah misses with a low kick. Ruth throws a series of strikes that have Okah backpedaling.
It looks like Ghazi Okah has been cut. Okah scores with a kick to the midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Okah throws a poor cross that misses
and Ruth counters with a stiff right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ruth uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Okah. It looked like Ruth wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Nice straight punches there by Okah. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Okah. Okah punishes Ruth's body with a nice straight punch. Ruth misses with a hook. Okah misses with a right hand and Okah takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Okah scores with a body shot.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Okah. Ruth shrugs it off though. Okah throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ruth stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okah cracks Ruth with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Okah blocks a jab. Ruth takes one to the side of the head.
Okah misses with a hook. It looked like Ruth was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Okah. Ruth swings widly with a right hand
letting Okah counter with a right hand. Ruth is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Ruth throws an off balance right hand
and Okah counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ruth takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Okah is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ruth had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Ruth blocks a head kick by Okah.
A cross from Okah lands. Ruth with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Okah to score with a decent uppercut. Nice defenses there by Okah. It seemed like Okah was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Okah looks to land a body kick but Ruth moved away. Ruth avoids a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ghazi Okah dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ghazi Okah's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ruth digs a good body shot into Okah's ribs. Okah jabs at Ruth's body. Okah moves into the clinch. Ruth tries to circle away but Okah has him pinned against the cage. Ruth misses with some punches.
Ruth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Okah looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Okah misses with a body kick. Ruth swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruth misses with a double jab
enabling Okah to counter with a crisp jab. Ruth pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruth works Okah's body with a nice hook. Okah has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Okah chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ruth throws a jab but it's blocked by Okah. Okah throws out a counter right but Ruth avoids it with no problem. Okah has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Okah's corner calls for a 1-2. Okah obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Okah swings for the body but Ruth moves out of range.
It looked like Ruth wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Okah moves into range and connects with a jab. Okah lands a slapping body shot.
Ruth on the wrong end of a nice jab. Okah dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ruth. That did some damage!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Okah does it's job there. Ruth takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Okah scores with a jab to the body. Okah feints and then cracks Ruth's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ruth down. Okah with a jab. Ruth throws an overhand right that lands on Okah's shoulder, as Okah tries to avoid the shot. Okah scores with a nice body kick.
Okah closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Ruth! Okah dives in looking to finish! Ruth is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ghazi Okah! Our winner, Ghazi Okah, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
