Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakie Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Jakie Chan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chan as he jumps to the side.
Chan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ferreira closes the distance and clinches.
Ferreira tightens his grip and picks Chan up, before dumping him to the ground. Chan manages to land in guard.
Chan is working an open guard so Ferreira takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Ferreira shoots in for a takedown but Chan shows good takedown defense.
Ferreira connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ferreira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ferreira decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Chan gets caught flat footed, as Ferreira shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Ferreira decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Chan, up you get!

Chan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Chan has his foot on Ferreira's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferreira works his way back into a safe position though.

Ferreira sneaks out the side door and pushes Chan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
