Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Khru Jako (ranked 2800 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Wood (ranked 2523 p4p, 0 weight class). Jako's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Catch a Fire. Khru Jako has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Khru Jako! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Willie Wood! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A swing and a miss from Wood. Jako walks into a straight right hand from Wood. Wood lands a nice looking body shot.
Jako throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wood cracks Jako with a right hand to the side of the head. Jako throws a poor cross that misses
letting Wood counter with a right hand. Wood ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wood loads up on a big right hand but Jako slips the punch. Wood uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jako. Wood throws a nice outside leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wood throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jako lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jako throws a body punch but Wood moves out of range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wood! But no joy. Wood misses with a looping left. Jako is looking to counter punch. Wood misses with a wild body shot. Jako misses with a body shot.
Jako works Wood's body with a nice hook. Jako scores with a takedown into Wood's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jako is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jako wants to pass the guard but Wood is keeping the position. Wood wants to sweep but no luck. Jako controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wood wants to sweep here but Jako controlling him for the moment. Wood seems keen to control Jako's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jako advances position into side control! Wood is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Wood tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Jako easily slips into full mount! Wood tries to improve his position but Jako has taken his back! Jako has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Wood tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Jako pushes Wood away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Khru Jako! Khru Jako spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
