Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vasyl Pochinenko (ranked 5757 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaplan Temrezov (ranked 24752 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasyl Pochinenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kaplan Temrezov!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pochinenko throws out a powerful jab.

Temrezov pushes Pochinenko up against the cage in a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Temrezov obliges.
Temrezov is looking for a takedown.
Temrezov tries to pull guard but Pochinenko won't allow it.

Temrezov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Temrezov moves into range and clinches up with Pochinenko.

Pochinenko successfully pulls guard.

Temrezov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Temrezov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pochinenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Temrezov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pochinenko looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Temrezov has picked Pochinenko up and slammed him! Pochinenko can't keep hold of the triangle and Temrezov manages to pass to side control!

Pochinenko is looking to reverse the position.

Temrezov decides to stand back up. Temrezov steps back and let's Pochinenko get back to his feet.
Pochinenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Temrezov pinned against the cage. Temrezov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Temrezov shoots in and gets a takedown into Pochinenko's guard.
Pochinenko is breathing heavily.
Pochinenko keeping full guard, as Temrezov tries to pass.

Pochinenko is working an open guard so Temrezov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Temrezov moves into the clinch.

Pochinenko wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pochinenko blocks the elbow strike.

Temrezov decides to pull guard.
Pochinenko is looking to stand up but Temrezov won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Temrezov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pochinenko defends well.
Pochinenko wants to control from the top but Temrezov keeps moving.
Temrezov wants to sweep but no luck.
Temrezov pulls Pochinenko in to control the position.

Temrezov wants to sweep here but Pochinenko controlling him for the moment.
Temrezov pulls Pochinenko in close to prevent any damage.
Pochinenko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Temrezov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Temrezov is trying to trip Pochinenko. He has hold of a leg but Pochinenko is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Temrezov persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Pochinenko manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Temrezov tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pochinenko avoids it.
Pochinenko gets underhooks to prevent Temrezov's takedown attempt.
Vasyl Pochinenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaplan Temrezov.

Temrezov has picked Pochinenko up - he's going for a ride! Temrezov dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Temrezov slows the pace down in half guard.
Pochinenko makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pochinenko.
Pochinenko striking off his back but it's not causing Temrezov any problems.
Temrezov is working Pochinenko over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pochinenko wants to get back to his feet.

Temrezov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Let's hope that Temrezov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Temrezov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pochinenko pinned against the cage. Pochinenko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pochinenko wants to clinch.

Pochinenko has a takedown stuffed.
Temrezov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pochinenko tries to clinch there but Temrezov circles away.
Vasyl Pochinenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Temrezov darts in looking for a takedown but Pochinenko gets double underhooks and turns Temrezov into the cage.

As Temrezov looks to move away, Pochinenko throws a big counter combo but Temrezov just gets out of the way.

Pochinenko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Temrezov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pochinenko, pushing him back against the cage.

Temrezov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pochinenko avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kaplan Temrezov will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Pochinenko closes the distance and clinches up with Temrezov, looking for a takedown. Pochinenko pushes Temrezov against the cage but Temrezov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Temrezov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pochinenko fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Pochinenko has his foot on Temrezov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Temrezov works his way back into a safe position though.

Pochinenko moves in looking to clinch but Temrezov pushes him off.

Pochinenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Temrezov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pochinenko shoots in for a takedown but Temrezov shows good takedown defense.
Pochinenko sets himself, and Temrezov steps forward looking for the clinch! Pochinenko avoids it this time.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Temrezov chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Temrezov clinches up with Pochinenko and pushes him back against the cage.
Temrezov is pushing Pochinenko up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Temrezov lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Temrezov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Temrezov decides to stand and escape the position.
Temrezov lands a nice looking body shot.

Temrezov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pochinenko was covering up waiting for the punch and Temrezov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pochinenko is working an open guard so Temrezov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Pochinenko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pochinenko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Temrezov is one step ahead there.
Temrezov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kaplan Temrezov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Temrezov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
