Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marc Andre Fleury (ranked 6761 p4p, 601 weight class) and Chief Slayer (ranked 2981 p4p, 338 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marc Andre Fleury! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Slayer! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fleury lands a nice shot that snaps Slayer's head back.
Slayer takes a body punch but keeps moving. Slayer throws a shot from downtown. Fleury moves away and avoids it. Slayer ducks right into an uppercut from Fleury. Slayer drives through and clinches with Fleury against the cage.

Fleury working some nice short punches in the clinch. Fleury tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Slayer's elbow. Slayer is working for takedown but Fleury is calmly controlling the position for now. Fleury stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Slayer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fleury is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Fleury misses with a short punch on the inside. A quick uppercut on the inside from Fleury. Fleury breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fleury lands with a shot to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Good exchange - Fleury coming out on top. Slayer goes for a double leg but Fleury avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fleury continues to drive forward. Marc Andre Fleury has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chief Slayer. Slayer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fleury paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fleury takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slayer gets tackled into the cage by Fleury. Fleury maintains the clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Fleury.
Slayer lands a takedown into guard.
Slayer looking to pass the guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fleury holds on and takes a little breather. Fleury not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fleury on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fleury tries to get out of the position. Slayer trying to control but Fleury is working from the bottom. Fleury is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Slayer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fleury is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fleury is trying to keep Slayer in close.
Fleury is really struggling to control Slayer but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fleury uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Slayer. Fleury dips to his left and cracks Slayer with an uppercut! Slayer takes a shot right to the bread basket. A big left from Slayer misses. Marc Andre Fleury is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fleury slips a straight right by Slayer. Slayer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slayer has managed to clinch.
Fleury lands a right hand. Slayer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fleury avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Slayer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fleury is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Fleury breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A jab from Slayer misses. Fleury swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Slayer throws a jab but it's blocked by Fleury.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fleury tests Slayer's chin there with a solid looking shot. Slayer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fleury struggling a bit here. Slayer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fleury knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Slayer looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Slayer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fleury, who protects the arm well. Fleury can't do much from the bottom here. Slayer is trying to get an arm triangle but Fleury is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fleury struggling a bit here. Slayer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fleury has escaped the position, nice work there. Fleury wants to control but Slayer postures up. Fleury tries to bench press Slayer off him but Slayer keeps the position. Slayer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! That was a close round but I would say that Marc Andre Fleury will probably get the nod. That's time! Fleury's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A lazy left from Fleury finds it's target. Fleury moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Slayer lands a nice shot that snaps Fleury's head back.
Fleury lands with a nice combination. Slayer backs away looking to recover. Fleury digs a good body shot into Slayer's ribs. Slayer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fleury lands with a nice body punch. Slayer is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Slayer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fleury bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Slayer's head backwards. Slayer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fleury. Slayer throws a lazy head kick and Fleury counters with a stiff right hand. Slayer throws a series of punches but Fleury avoids them all with ease. Slayer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fleury tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Slayer is in Fleury's guard. Slayer slips nicely into half guard. Fleury trying to control from the bottom.
Slayer is looking for a kimura here.

Slayer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Slayer is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fleury is surviving well by controlling Slayer's body position as best he can. Fleury wants to control but Slayer is having none of it. Slayer is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Fleury is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Fleury flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Slayer anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Fleury and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Slayer slips an arm under Fleury chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Slayer has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Slayer is squeezing on Fleury like an anaconda would it's prey. Fleury fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chief Slayer! An out of breath Chief Slayer thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
