Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, I Hate Work! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniello Pablo! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Work throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pablo is looking to clinch but Work is avoiding it.
Pablo clinches. Work breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pablo is defended easily by Work. Work throws a looping overhand right but Pablo ducks down to avoid it. Work misses with a hook. Pablo ducked under it nicely. Work throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pablo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pablo breaks the clinch.
Pablo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Work is not content to let Pablo control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Work can't do much from the bottom here. Work is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pablo has just dragged him back down to the mat. Pablo swings around for an armbar but Work sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pablo's guard. Pablo has his feet on Work's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Work looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pablo is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. No joy there for Work, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Work connects with a body shot. Pablo throws a head kick but Work moves out of range.
The fighters circling - Work throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pablo takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pablo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pablo goes for a double leg but Work avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Work continues to drive forward. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pablo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A clash of legs there as Work blocks the low kick. Pablo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Work is trying to defend but Pablo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Pablo stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Pablo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pablo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Pablo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Work has managed to free his arm - good work. Work avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pablo. Pablo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Pablo decides to return to a standing position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Work throws a jab but it's blocked by Pablo. Pablo shoots in and drives through. Work sprawls well. I Hate Work has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniello Pablo. Pablo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Work, pushing him back against the cage. Work has Pablo pressed against the cage, preventing Pablo from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Pablo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Work is trying to break the clinch but Pablo has him pressed against the cage. Work tries for a takedown. No joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pablo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Work counters with a stiff right hand. Pablo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Work circles away from the clinch attempt and Work counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Work pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pablo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Work. Pablo misses with a body kick. Pablo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Work but Work pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pablo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Work misses with a right hand and Pablo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. I Hate Work is winning the standup battle so far. Work throws a body punch but Pablo moves out of range. Pablo is looking to clinch.

I Hate Work has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniello Pablo. Some bone on bone action there as Pablo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Pablo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Work throws a big shot that misses. Pablo misses with a kick to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pablo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pablo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Work. Work obviously looking to wear him down.
Work is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pablo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Work misses with a hook. Pablo ducked under it nicely. Pablo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pablo rushes Work and presses him up against the cage. Work goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pablo prevents it.
Pablo has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Work seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Pablo can turn it around. Pablo avoiding damage as Work throws knees to the body.

Pablo tries to bum rush Work with a series of wild strikes but Work uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pablo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Work counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Work. A frustrated look appears on Work's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pablo tries to pull guard but Work forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Work manages to break the clinch.
I Hate Work is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pablo looks for a takedown but Work sprawls well. Pablo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Work manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Work tries to score with a low kick but Pablo moves his leg out of the way. Work throws a nice looking combination but Pablo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Work misses with a double jab.

I Hate Work dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Pablo tries for a takedown but Work sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Work is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pablo can do to turn this around? Work throws a combination that misses so Pablo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pablo trying to control but Work is working from the bottom. Work knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pablo on the ground. Work wants to stand but Pablo is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Work keeping moving, preventing Pablo from controlling successfully. Pablo stands up from guard. Let's bang! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pablo with a lazy takedown attempt and Work makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Work fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pablo, pushing him back against the cage. Work wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Work takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The fighters circling - Work throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Work tries to clinch up. Pablo slips a jab and a cross from Work.

Work lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pablo circles away quickly and effectively. No joy there for Work, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Despite the aggression on Pablo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Work swinging wildly here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Work misses with a looping right. Work staying out of range there. Work tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Pablo manages to circle out of the way. Work lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pablo circles away quickly and effectively. Pablo tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Work is able to avoid easily. Work throws a series of punches but Pablo avoids them all with ease. Work tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pablo was well out of range. Poor timing from Work. Pablo takes a body punch but keeps moving. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pablo has his takedown stuffed and Work cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Work throws a sloppy head kick and Pablo counters with a single leg into guard. Work didn't expect that. Pablo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Work dives on top into guard.
Pablo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Work trying to control but Pablo is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Work would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Pablo wants to get back to his feet but Work is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Work pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pablo is keeping the position for now. Pablo wants to stand and escape but Work is having none of it. Pablo has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Work is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Work wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Work tries to circle away but Pablo has him pinned against the cage. Work manages to break the clinch.
Pablo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Work swivels and escapes. Work tries a low kick but Pablo avoids it. Pablo gets a clinch. Work looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Work wants to get back to striking at distance but Pablo won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight! I Hate Work showed his dominance in that final round. I think Work has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
