Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Peter Kropotkin (ranked 4288 p4p, 179 weight class) and Sergei Petrov (ranked 4905 p4p, 196 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergei Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kropotkin jabs Petrov right on the nose. Petrov blinks but takes it well.
Kropotkin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Petrov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Petrov counters with a stiff right hand.

and Petrov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Kropotkin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Petrov connects with a body shot that sends Kropotkin's belly button to the back.
Petrov's corner calls for a 1-2. Petrov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kropotkin is keen to just control but Petrov is a slippery customer.

Petrov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
