Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Siegel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Bustamante! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siegel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bustamante paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bustamante shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Siegel as he avoids it easily. Bustamante shoots in and drives through. Siegel sprawls well. Siegel tries to clinch but Bustamante is having none of it. The fight stays on the outside here - Siegel looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Siegel throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bustamante.
It looks like Carlos Bustamante has been cut. Siegel tries to clinch but Bustamante moves out of range. Bustamante fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Siegel manages to avoid it. Siegel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bustamante paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bustamante gets the takedown into side control. Siegel gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Siegel trying to control here.

Siegel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bustamante is looking to work some ground and pound but Siegel has wrist control. Bustamante makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bustamante stands up over Siegel, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Siegel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bustamante manages to get himself to full guard.
Bustamante striking from his own guard. Siegel trying to control but Bustamante is working from the bottom. Bustamante doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Siegel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bustamante is keeping the position for now. Siegel slips nicely into half guard. Bustamante really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Siegel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Siegel is looking to take a break and control but Bustamante is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bustamante is looking to improve his position.
Bustamante throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bustamante misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Siegel tries to close the distance and clinch but Bustamante swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Siegel ducks under a wild hook from Bustamante. Siegel tries to clinch up. Horrible takedown by Bustamante or perhaps it was just good defense by Siegel which made him look bad. Kenny Siegel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Bustamante. Bustamante looks gassed! Bustamante avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bustamante swats away the attempt to clinch by Siegel. Bustamante missing with a left hand there. Siegel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bustamante drives through with a takedown into guard. Siegel pushes a forearm under Bustamante's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bustamante is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
