Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Imanali Umarov (ranked 8508 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salahdine Parnasse (ranked 4296 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Imanali Umarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Salahdine Parnasse! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parnasse has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Umarov. Parnasse tries to land a body kick and Umarov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Umarov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Umarov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Parnasse keeping moving, preventing Umarov from controlling successfully. Parnasse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Parnasse is trying to control the position but Umarov postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Umarov trying to control but Parnasse is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Umarov landing with the ground and pound. Umarov prevents Parnasse from getting back to his feet. Umarov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Umarov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Parnasse is trying to control the position but Umarov postures up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Parnasse fails with a takedown attempt. Parnasse throws a head kick that misses. Umarov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Umarov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parnasse is trying to improve his position. Parnasse is trying to buck Umarov off. Umarov throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Parnasse manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Umarov desperately trying to maintain half guard. Umarov wants to improve his position but Parnasse is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Umarov wants to control but Parnasse is keeping busy and won't allow it. Parnasse is keen to just control but Umarov is a slippery customer. Umarov is looking for a sweep. Parnasse is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Umarov is staying active underneath Parnasse, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Umarov taking some punishment here, with Parnasse in his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parnasse stops Umarov from getting back to his feet.
Parnasse maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Umarov could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Parnasse has cracked it and Umarov is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Parnasse!
