Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Naoyuki Tokudome (ranked 4426 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Llamas (ranked 7402 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Naoyuki Tokudome!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Diego Llamas!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tokudome scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tokudome misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Tokudome creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Tokudome wants to lay and pray for a moment but Llamas keeps working.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Llamas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tokudome has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Llamas is working away from the top position though.

Llamas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tokudome has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Llamas has managed to get both his arms back between Tokudome's legs - danger averted.

Tokudome stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Llamas swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Naoyuki Tokudome will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Llamas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tokudome. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tokudome closes the distance and clinches up with Llamas, looking for a takedown. Tokudome pushes Llamas against the cage but Llamas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tokudome tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Llamas defends well and Tokudome ends up having to push Llamas into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Tokudome lands a nice hook to Llamas's body. Llamas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Llamas shoots in looking for a takedown but Tokudome manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Llamas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tokudome looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tokudome has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Llamas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Llamas will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tokudome up against the cage.

Tokudome would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Naoyuki Tokudome.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tokudome, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
