Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lesser Scaup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Empire State of Mind. Lesser Scaup could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shawn Carter's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lesser Scaup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Carter! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scaup circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carter is looking to clinch. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Scaup paws at him with a jab and circles away. A jab from Carter misses. Carter moves into the clinch. Scaup is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Carter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Scaup ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Scaup no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Carter wanted to stand there but Scaup had control of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter stopping the sweep attempt from Scaup. Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scaup. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Scaup controlling the position. Carter wanted to stand there but Scaup had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scaup is controlling Carter's posture. Carter stands and steps away. Scaup gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Carter fails in his attempt to clinch. Scaup feints and as Carter raises his hands in defense, Scaup changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter wants to stand and escape but Scaup is having none of it. Scaup might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carter pushes Scaup off and gets back to his feet.
Carter fails with the takedown and Scaup counters with a shoot takedown. Carter fights it but they end up in guard. Scaup stays in close to Carter's body and controls the position. Carter wants to stand up but Scaup is controlling him. Carter looks gassed! Scaup wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. Scaup stops Carter from standing up. Scaup stands and steps away. Carter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Carter misses its intended target. Scaup looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Carter! Scaup looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Scaup quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Scaup but it's paid off an Carter is forced to tap! Nice work by Scaup.
