Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Collin Minus (ranked 3852 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Brooks (ranked 7816 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Collin Minus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carlos Brooks! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Minus tries to avoid it but Brooks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Minus to the ground. Minus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brooks gets tackled into the cage by Minus. Minus maintains the clinch. Brooks is trying to pull guard but Minus turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Minus has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Brooks regains guard immediately. Brooks trying to keep a closed guard but Minus is proving a slippery customer.
Minus controlling from the top position. Minus seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brooks for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brooks controls Minus momentarily but Minus frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Minus is aware though and is defending well. Minus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Minus stopping the sweep attempt from Brooks. Minus postures up in Brooks's guard and throws a big left but Brooks blocks it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Minus gets a clinch. Brooks goes for a takedown attempt but Minus pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Collin Minus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Brooks. Minus moves out of range of the body kick from Brooks.
Brooks fails with a takedown attempt. Minus closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brooks quickly recovers to half guard. Minus thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brooks's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Minus seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Minus trying to mount his opponent but Brooks defends it. Still in half guard, Minus seems content to control. Minus is nestled in close to Brooks, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Minus is taking a breather. Brooks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Minus is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Minus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brooks tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minus sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Brooks wants to get back to his feet.
Brooks is trying desperately to improve position. Brooks is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Minus controlling his opponent. Minus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brooks on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Minus prevents Brooks from getting the reversal. Minus content just to control the position here. Minus looking to finish with strikes here!
Minus sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brooks is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Collin Minus dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nice sprawl there from Minus as Brooks shoots in. Brooks scores with a one two! Minus had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Brooks closes the distance but Minus moves to the side so Minus counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Brooks looking for a guillotine here but Minus defends easily.
Minus controlling from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brooks wants to stand up but Minus is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks is controlling Minus's posture. Minus controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Minus wants to stand but Brooks has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Brooks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Minus is one step ahead there. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Brooks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Brooks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Minus tries to avoid it but Brooks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Minus to the ground. Minus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Minus appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Minus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brooks. Collin Minus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Brooks. Minus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brooks pinned against the cage. Brooks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Minus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brooks.
Minus feints and as Brooks raises his hands in defense, Minus changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Minus throws a big right hand that misses. Minus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Minus is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brooks can do to turn this around? Minus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brooks is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Minus looking to pass the guard. Minus is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Minus looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brooks stuffs the takedown. Brooks is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Minus is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Brooks just misses with a elbow thrown towards Minus's brow. Brooks tries to pull guard but Minus won't allow it.

Collin Minus dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Brooks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Brooks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Minus manages to avoid it. Brooks tries to keep at a distance but Minus has taken the fight into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Brooks's face as he tries to break the clinch. Minus is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Brooks is trying to break the clinch but Minus has him pressed against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Minus - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Brooks trying to control but Minus is working from the bottom. Brooks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Collin Minus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Minus trying to control the position here. Minus is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brooks defends well. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Minus tries to circle away but Brooks has him pinned against the cage. Minus prevents Brooks from breaking the clinch. Minus looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Brooks changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Minus fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brooks lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Brooks misses with a series of wild punches.
Minus tries a low kick but Brooks avoids it. Brooks throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Brooks throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Minus counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minus rushes Brooks and presses him up against the cage. Brooks tries to pull guard but Minus forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Collin Minus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Brooks. Minus is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Brooks is defending well. Minus tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Brooks looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Brooks drags the fight down to the ground.
Minus's corner is telling him to maintain position. Minus looking to sit in guard and control but Brooks gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Minus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Collin Minus. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Minus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
