The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ismail shoots in looking for a takedown. Scanlan tries to sprawl out of it but Ismail keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scanlan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ismail uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scanlan.
Ismail shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Scanlan as he avoids it easily.
Scanlan lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Khalid Ismail has been cut.
Scanlan lands with a right hand.
Ismail walks into a stiff left hand from Scanlan.

Ismail is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Scanlan cracks Ismail with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ismail looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Scanlan finish him?
