Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Feodor Stepanovic (ranked 6894 p4p, 700 weight class) and Gregor Narkun (ranked 24088 p4p, 824 weight class). Gregor Narkun has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Feodor Stepanovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gregor Narkun! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stepanovic throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Stepanovic defending well as Narkun loads up on a big left hand. Stepanovic stuffs the takedown attempt from Narkun. Narkun gets slowly back to his feet. Narkun shoots in and gets a takedown into Stepanovic's guard. Stepanovic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Narkun is one step ahead there. Stepanovic working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Narkun throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Stepanovic keeping full guard, as Narkun tries to pass. Stepanovic is looking to sweep but instead, Narkun has passed into half guard.
Stepanovic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Narkun on the ground. Narkun is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Stepanovic trying desperately to get to his feet.
Narkun looking to control and managing it successfully. Narkun working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Narkun takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Narkun throwing strikes here but Stepanovic is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Stepanovic manages to regain half guard. Good work. Narkun perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Narkun postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Stepanovic to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stepanovic shoots in for a takedown but Narkun shows good takedown defense. Stepanovic scores with a sloppy right hand. Narkun should have avoided that one. Stepanovic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Narkun tries to avoid it but Stepanovic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Narkun to the ground. Narkun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Narkun misses with a straight left. Narkun shoots in and gets a takedown into Stepanovic's guard. Stepanovic is looking to stand back up but Narkun counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Stepanovic. Stepanovic is breathing heavily. Narkun takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Narkun stands up and beckons Stepanovic to join him on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stepanovic misses with a head kick.
Narkun closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stepanovic did well to prevent Narkun getting side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Narkun is looking to advance position but Stepanovic won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Narkun is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. It looks like Narkun might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Narkun thows a huge punch but Stepanovic dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregor Narkun dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Narkun drives through with a takedown into guard. Narkun is standing up over Stepanovic. Stepanovic looks to escape but Narkun dives into side control.
Stepanovic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Narkun wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Narkun working the body and head with strikes. Stepanovic gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Stepanovic tries to improve his position but instead Narkun has taken his back! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Narkun really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Stepanovic. Stepanovic tries to break free.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stepanovic is trying to stand back up. What can Stepanovic do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Stepanovic can't escape the position.
Narkun is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Stepanovic is tapping out! This one is all over!
