Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dai Zexi (ranked 685 p4p, 120 weight class) and Marky Mark (ranked 1314 p4p, 207 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dai Zexi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marky Mark! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zexi fails with a takedown attempt. Zexi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Mark avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Zexi checks a leg kick nicely. Mark uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zexi. Zexi ducks right into an uppercut from Mark. A slow jab from Zexi misses its intended target. Mark is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mark scores with a nice head shot. Zexi misses with a left hand enabling Mark to counter with a crisp jab. Good leg kick by Mark there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mark throws a nice outside leg kick. Zexi looks to score with a jab to the body but Mark is just out of range. Mark catches Zexi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jab, jab by Mark - just one landing. This has been an exciting period of action! An inside leg kick from Mark misses. Zexi misses with a hook. A jab from Mark misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zexi tries to move into range but Mark moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Zexi throws a right hand that misses
and Mark counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Zexi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mark can pounce on him.
Zexi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mark. A big left from Mark misses. Zexi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mark is fending him off so far but Zexi persists. Nope, Mark circles away and we're back to standing. Zexi ducks right into an uppercut from Mark. Mark slips a straight right by Zexi. Zexi darts in looking for a takedown but Mark gets double underhooks and turns Zexi into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dai Zexi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zexi shoots in for a takedown but Mark shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mark rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zexi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Zexi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zexi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mark at a distance.
Mark connects with an inside leg kick. Zexi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mark. Mark has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Zexi with a lazy takedown attempt and Mark counters with a series of strikes. Zexi will be more careful next time no doubt. Mark dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zexi. That did some damage!

and Mark counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mark throws a right hand that Zexi ducks under and follows up with a left that Zexi also avoids with ease. Zexi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Mark walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Zexi checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Zexi fails to land the takedown. Mark with a body punch. A glancing blow. Zexi scores with a body shot.

Mark swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Zexi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Mark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mark is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Zexi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Mark blocks a jab. Marky Mark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zexi fails with the takedown and Mark connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Mark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mark takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Zexi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mark. Mark obviously looking to wear him down.
Mark lands a jab. Zexi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Mark lands a leg kick that knocks Zexi off balance momentarily. Mark throws a jab but it's blocked by Zexi. Mark's jab looks to have found its range, popping Zexi under the eye. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zexi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mark circles away. Zexi throws a sloppy body shot
and Mark counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mark thumps Zexi with a low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zexi misses with a looping left. Zexi tries to move into range but Mark moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A chopping leg kick lands by Mark. Zexi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Mark feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Zexis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Mark connects with a crisp jab. Mark scores with a sloppy right hand. Zexi should have avoided that one. Mark feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Zexi's calf. Mark misses with a wild combination.

Mark works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zexi misses with an uppercut. Mark saw that one coming. Donk. Mark catches Zexi right on the button with a cross. Zexi looks to throw the jab but Mark is out of range. Mark unleashes a big counter combination but Zexi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Zexi. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Zexi misses with a looping left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marky Mark dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Zexi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mark manages to avoid it. Zexi is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Mark's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Mark fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Mark paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Mark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zexi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nice jab there from Mark. Mark lands a nice leg kick that just misses Zexi's sensitive parts. Mark connects with a body shot. Mark bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zexi's head. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Zexi might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Mark lands a leg kick that knocks Zexi off balance momentarily. Marky Mark seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mark connects with a leg kick. Zexi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Good leg kick by Mark there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mark keeping moving, preventing Zexi from controlling successfully. Zexi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Zexi looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zexi trying to control the position from guard on top but Mark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zexi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mark wants to sweep but no luck. Mark pulls Zexi in close to his closed guard and prevents Zexi from doing any damage or advancing position. Mark bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zexi's guard. Mark is stalling in the full guard. Zexi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Zexi trying to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Zexi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zexi throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mark uses it to pass to side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Zexi tries to bench press Mark off him but Mark keeps the position. Zexi seems a little lost for a moment, as Mark dominates the positioning. Mark in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zexi tries to improve position but can't. Mark tries to advance to mount but Zexi denies him. Zexi tries to bench press Mark off him but Mark keeps the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Zexi is trying to improve his position. Zexi sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zexi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zexi gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Zexi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mark pulls his head out easily. Zexi tries to get to full guard but Mark has control of the leg. Mark content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Zexi wants to control but Mark is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mark with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Zexi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zexi. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zexi is trying to control the position but Mark postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marky Mark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mark has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Zexi throws a strike but Mark rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Zexi looking to control but Mark passes into half guard.
Mark takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zexi is trying to control but can't.
Mark is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Zexi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Zexi regains full guard. Nicely done. Zexi being controlled here, momentarily. Zexi wants to sweep here but Mark controlling him for the moment. Zexi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mark is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Zexi trying to keep a closed guard but Mark is proving a slippery customer.
Dai Zexi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Zexi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Zexi walks into a stiff left hand from Mark. Danga de danga de dang - Mark scores with a four punch combination! Mark lands a head shot. Zexi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mark lands with an uppercut that bounces Zexi off the cage and back into range. Mark connects with a solid leg kick. Nice shot by Mark. Dai Zexi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Marky Mark comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Mark winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Marky Mark! A less than humble Marky Mark misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
