PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harri Huiha (ranked 23088 p4p, 832 weight class) and George Peterson (ranked 5008 p4p, 626 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that George Peterson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Peterson.
It looks like Harri Huiha has been cut. Peterson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Huiha shoots in but no luck this time. Peterson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Huiha misses with a takedown attempt and Peterson counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Huiha! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Peterson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Peterson! After the fight, George Peterson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
