Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Basil Brubaker (ranked 2028 p4p, 239 weight class) and Frank Wildhauser (ranked 1089 p4p, 130 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Basil Brubaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Wildhauser! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brubaker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Brubaker enables Wildhauser to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brubaker manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Brubaker scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Basil Brubaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wildhauser takes the fight into the clinch. Wildhauser is pushing Brubaker up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Brubaker can't break the clinch.
Brubaker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Wildhauser has Brubaker pressed against the cage, preventing Brubaker from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Brubaker is looking to control Wildhauser's arms but Wildhauser gets an underhook and turns him. Now Brubaker has his back to the cage. Brubaker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wildhauser tries to clinch up. Wildhauser avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wildhauser has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wildhauser has Brubaker pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wildhauser has Brubaker pressed against the cage, preventing Brubaker from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Brubaker tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Wildhauser's elbow. Brubaker tries to break free but Wildhauser pushes him back against the cage. Wildhauser is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Brubaker can't find room to land a body shot as Wildhauser controls the action.
Wildhauser gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wildhauser passes to side control. Wildhauser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brubaker keeps working. Brubaker is trying to control Wildhauser's posture but Wildhauser avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brubaker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wildhauser is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brubaker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Brubaker trying to remain calm as Wildhauser controls from the top position. Brubaker tries to bench press Wildhauser off him but Wildhauser keeps the position. Wildhauser tries for a kimura but Brubaker is defending well. Brubaker is trying to work for a sweep but Wildhauser has mounted him! Wildhauser controlling from the full mount. Wildhauser moves to take his opponent's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wildhauser is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Brubaker with him. Brubaker is trying to defend but Wildhauser has an arm under the chin now! Brubaker grimaces and is forced to tap out!
