Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ji Lu (ranked 2191 p4p, 94 weight class) and Bubba Dee (ranked 1860 p4p, 83 weight class). Ji Lu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Dee!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lu tries to counter by clinching up but Dee breaks away and moves out of range.

It looks like Bubba Dee has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lu throws a big right hand that misses.

Dee has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lu is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've been hearing good reports from Lu's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

It looks like Ji Lu has been cut.
Lu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dee loads up on a big right hand but Lu slips the punch.

Lu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ji Lu will probably get the nod.

Bubba Dee's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The fighters circle momentarily. Dee darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A relieved looking Ji Lu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
