The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigeon gets a clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Hunt has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Pigeon blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Hunt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Pigeon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pigeon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hunt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hunt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've been informed that Pigeon has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Hunt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pigeon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Pigeon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hunt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pigeon is just riding it out for now. Hunt eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hunt wants to control but Pigeon is keeping him busy.

Hunt is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pigeon is controlling Hunt's position as best he can from this difficult position.
