Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Patrick Ronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Khalid Al Saadoun!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Al Saadoun darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Al Saadoun throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Al Saadoun wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ronson keeps working.

Al Saadoun with the ground and pound but Ronson uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Ronson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ronson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Al Saadoun stays in close to Ronson's body and controls the position.

The referee is keeping an eye on Ronson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ronson has Al Saadoun pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Al Saadoun manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Al Saadoun gets control of Ronson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Al Saadoun will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Al Saadoun is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ronson postures up and lands a big shot to Al Saadoun's brow.

Ronson is trying to control. Al Saadoun wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Al Saadoun has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ronson is working away from the top position though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Al Saadoun gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Al Saadoun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ronson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ronson is working Al Saadoun over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ronson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Al Saadoun as he avoids it easily.
Al Saadoun is looking for the big counter here.
Al Saadoun closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Al Saadoun dives in for a single leg takedown but Ronson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Al Saadoun feints and as Ronson raises his hands in defense, Al Saadoun changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ronson has his feet on Al Saadoun's thighs here. He's pushed Al Saadoun off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Al Saadoun screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
