Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Petrovski (ranked 5978 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Swingewood (ranked 7841 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Aaron Swingewood! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrovski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Swingewood is fending him off so far but Petrovski persists. Nope, Swingewood circles away and we're back to standing. Petrovski gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Swingewood tries to stall but Petrovski uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Petrovski has clasped his hands together around Swingewood's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Petrovski goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Swingewood has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Petrovski but great work by Swingewood. Petrovski throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Petrovski is looking to reverse the position. Swingewood working the ground and pound but Petrovski is defending the strikes. Petrovski tries to buck Swingewood off but Swingewood is having none of it. Swingewood wants to control but Petrovski is keeping him busy. Swingewood looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrovski is looking to reverse the position. Swingewood is looking to take a break and control but Petrovski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Swingewood fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Petrovski is looking for a sweep. Petrovski is working hard here to advance position. Swingewood trying to control the position but Petrovski is working away. Petrovski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Swingewood wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Swingewood is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Petrovski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Petrovski is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrovski throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Swingewood wants to clinch up but Petrovski keeps it at a distance. Petrovski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Swingewood avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Petrovski. Petrovski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swingewood has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Petrovski is working away from the top position though. Petrovski wants to stand but Swingewood has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Petrovski is thwarting Swingewood's attempts to control the position. Petrovski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swingewood on the ground. Swingewood keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Swingewood slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Swingewood has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Petrovski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Swingewood dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Petrovski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Swingewood defends well and Petrovski ends up having to push Swingewood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Petrovski fails with a takedown attempt. Swingewood has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Swingewood tries a head kick but it misses.
Petrovski half committed to a counter leg kick. Petrovski circles away from the clinch attempt and Petrovski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Swingewood's guard. Swingewood bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Petrovski's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Swingewood throws a big right hand that misses. Petrovski looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Swingewood trying to control but Petrovski is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrovski looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Swingewood puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Petrovski is staying active underneath Swingewood, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Swingewood trying to mount his opponent but Petrovski defends it. Swingewood passes to side control. Petrovski is looking to reverse the position. Swingewood is looking to take a break and control but Petrovski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swingewood gets to mount! Petrovski was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Petrovski tries to improve his position but instead Swingewood has taken his back! Swingewood looking for the choke but no joy. Petrovski covering up well under a series of strikes from Swingewood.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrovski trying to get back to his feet but Swingewood is in full control for now. Petrovski is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Swingewood gets his way!

That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Petrovski's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
