Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Pierre (ranked 4231 p4p, 87 weight class) and Manager Yanic (ranked 5196 p4p, 100 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Manager Yanic! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierre closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Yanic tries to throw a body punch but Pierre avoids it by throwing Yanic back against the cage. Pierre pulls guard. Pierre controls Yanic momentarily but Yanic frees himself. Pierre will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pierre is looking for a triangle but Yanic pushes his legs off easily.
Pierre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Yanic avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yanic is stalling in the full guard. Yanic cracks Pierre with a solid left hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yanic controls from within his opponent's guard. Let's hope that Yanic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yanic lands a couple of elbows. Pierre has his foot on Yanic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yanic works his way back into a safe position though. Pierre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yanic defends it easily. Yanic is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Yanic tries to free his leg and advance position but Pierre is retaining full guard. Yanic won't allow Pierre to sweep him here. Yanic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pierre swivels though and keeps the full guard. Yanic not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pierre looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yanic is one step ahead there. Pierre can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yanic controls the pace. Pierre tries to land a sweep but no joy. Yanic controlling from the top position. Yanic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pierre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Yanic preventing the sweep.

Yanic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pierre tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pierre is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Yanic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pierre swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pierre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yanic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yanic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Yanic is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Yanic trying to control but Pierre is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Yanic is posturing up here but Pierre has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Yanic tries to roll out but it's too tight and Yanic has to tap! Slick submission there by Pierre!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Antoine Pierre! Antoine Pierre spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
