PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jackson (ranked 3936 p4p, 397 weight class) and Nuke Laloosh (ranked 2309 p4p, 336 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nuke Laloosh!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laloosh drives through with a takedown into guard.
Laloosh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Laloosh trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Laloosh controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jackson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Laloosh postures up and lands a big shot to Jackson's brow.

Laloosh gets to his feet. Jackson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jackson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Jackson wants to clinch.
Laloosh throws out a counter right but Jackson avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Jackson gets tackled into the ropes by Laloosh. Laloosh maintains the clinch.
Laloosh lands a left hand.
Jackson misses with a short punch on the inside.

Laloosh tightens his grip and picks Jackson up, before dumping him to the ground. Jackson manages to land in guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Laloosh from controlling successfully.
Laloosh might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Laloosh throwing strikes but missing.
Jackson can't keep his opponent in guard - Laloosh advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Laloosh lands a nice short elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Laloosh in particular looking to stall.
Laloosh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Laloosh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Jackson tries to get to full guard but Laloosh has control of the leg.
Laloosh scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Jackson is not content to let Laloosh control the position.

Laloosh content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Laloosh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jackson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Nice strikes from Laloosh there.
Jackson tries to roll over but Laloosh keeps him under control.
Laloosh lands with a punch from half guard.
Jackson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Laloosh lands strikes from half guard.
Laloosh uses his free foot to push down on Jackson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jackson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Laloosh is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Laloosh breaks from Jackson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Laloosh's attempts to control the action.
Laloosh punishing his opponent with strikes.


Jackson is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Laloosh's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nuke Laloosh!
A relieved looking Nuke Laloosh thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
