Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Burkman (ranked 5441 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seve Deha (ranked 5930 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Burkman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Seve Deha! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burkman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Seve Deha has been cut. Burkman tries to clinch but Deha moves out of range. Burkman moves into the clinch successfully.
Deha tries to throw a body punch but Burkman avoids it by throwing Deha back against the cage. Deha stalling.
Burkman lands a body punch. Deha tries to pull guard but Burkman won't allow it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Burkman takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Burkman pushes Deha back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Burkman manages to break the clinch.
Burkman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burkman throws a big counter combination but Deha scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Deha takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's one minute gone in the round. Deha changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burkman tries to avoid it but Deha manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burkman to the ground. Burkman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. George Burkman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Deha tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Burkman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Burkman gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A head punch blocked on the inside by Burkman. Burkman lands with a right to the head. Burkman lands a nice shot to the body. Burkman struggles to land a body shot inside as Deha controls his hands.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burkman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Deha has had enough of the clinch but Burkman keeps him there for the moment. Burkman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Burkman landing knees to the head.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Burkman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Deha. Deha trying to control the position from guard on top but Burkman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Burkman wants to sweep here but Deha controlling him for the moment. Burkman kicks Deha off and gets to his feet. Deha closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Burkman did well to prevent Deha getting side control. Burkman makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burkman rushes Deha and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Deha is trying to pull guard but Burkman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Burkman stalls. A nice left hand lands by Burkman.
Burkman is looking to control Deha's arms but Deha gets an underhook and turns him. Now Burkman has his back to the cage. Deha tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Burkman just stands there and leans against the cage. Deha is looking to take this one to the mat. A right hand to the body from Burkman.
Burkman is defending well against a takedown attempt. Deha tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Burkman trying to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Deha drops back, looking for a kneebar! Burkman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Burkman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Burkman! Deha parries the strikes from Burkman easily there. Burkman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Deha to escape.
Deha tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Burkman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burkman just content to control the position. Burkman decides to stand back up. Burkman steps back and let's Deha get back to his feet. A head kick lands from Burkman that sends Deha to the canvas. Deha tries to scramble back to his feet but Burkman brings him back down into side control.
Deha is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Burkman dominated that round. The cut man is working on Seve Deha's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Burkman rushes Deha and presses him up against the cage. Burkman connects with a big uppercut there that sends Deha tumbling to the ground! Burkman follows him down into his guard.
Deha is still in real trouble! Can Burkman finish him?
That has opened up Seve Deha's cut even more. Burkman works a leg free and moves into half guard. Burkman controlling the pace. Deha seems to have recovered his senses. Burkman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Burkman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Deha is trying to stand.
Deha is trying to maintain the position but Burkman is very close to passing his half guard. Burkman escapes and gets back to his feet. Burkman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burkman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Deha can do to turn this around? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burkman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Burkman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Deha misses with a takedown attempt - Burkman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Burkman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Deha, pushing him back against the cage. A right handed body shot lands from Burkman.
Burkman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Deha jumps guard but Burkman turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Burkman softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deha blocks a body shot from Burkman. That's three minutes gone in the round. Burkman has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Deha is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Burkman successfully pulls guard.
Deha drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Burkman dives on top into guard.
Burkman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Deha shoots in and bounces Burkman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Burkman pushes Deha off and gets back to his feet.
Deha takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burkman tries to clinch up but Deha circles away and keeps his distance. Deha wants to counter the offense by Burkman and move into the clinch position. Burkman tries to clinch up.
