Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Elliot (ranked 4326 p4p, 94 weight class) and Josh Heath (ranked 5127 p4p, 104 weight class). Heath comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blaze all day -by KOTTONMOUTH KINGS kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Josh Heath has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Elliot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Heath ! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elliot shoots in looking for a takedown but Heath manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Elliot's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Heath feints and as Elliot raises his hands in defense, Heath changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Heath showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Elliot is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elliot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Heath doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Heath manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Heath pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Elliot is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heath looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Elliot trying to keep a closed guard but Heath is proving a slippery customer.
Elliot keeping moving, preventing Heath from controlling successfully. Elliot trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Heath has gone for a leg lock! Elliot slips out almost immediately though and dives into Heath 's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Heath utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Heath is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Elliot sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Heath 's guard. Elliot sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Heath defending well though. Elliot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Elliot scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Elliot seems to be working for a kimura but Heath defends the submission attempt. Heath regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Elliot. Elliot working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Heath has his foot on Elliot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Elliot works his way back into a safe position though. Heath keeping moving, preventing Elliot from controlling successfully. Elliot trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elliot drops back, looking for a kneebar! Heath looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Heath looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Heath ! Elliot is not content to let Heath control the position. Heath is trying to get an arm triangle but Elliot is defending well. Elliot struggling a bit here. Elliot sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Elliot swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Elliot looking to control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heath can do anything to dispel that myth. Elliot postures up in Heath 's guard and throws a big left but Heath blocks it. Elliot throws a big right hand that misses. Andrew Elliot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Elliot won't allow Heath to sweep him here. Heath takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Elliot trying to control the action but Heath is working from the bottom. Elliot has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Heath defend it? Elliot steps over the head and cranks it - Heath is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Elliot!
