Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anub Ben Aiss (ranked 25291 p4p, 688 weight class) and Kwan Lee (ranked 7297 p4p, 626 weight class). Anub Ben Aiss has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Anub Ben Aiss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kwan Lee!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ben Aiss as Lee shoots in.

Lee moves into the clinch.

Ben Aiss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ben Aiss's guard.

Lee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lee postures up.
Lee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee tries to control but Ben Aiss wriggling away.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lee wants to finish this one by submission but Ben Aiss is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lee.
Lee sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Lee thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Ben Aiss keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lee throwing strikes here but Ben Aiss is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Lee trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ben Aiss trying desperately to get to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lee tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ben Aiss is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Ben Aiss tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Lee counters with a nice uppercut.
Ben Aiss leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.

Lee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ben Aiss uses from the top position.

Ben Aiss dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Ben Aiss's head and hops out.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lee dives in and grabs Ben Aiss's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ben Aiss pushes down on Lee's head and hops out.

Lee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Ben Aiss.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lee.

Kwan Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
