Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bwana Mkubwa (ranked 1772 p4p, 80 weight class) and Jeff Messer (ranked 2451 p4p, 102 weight class). Mkubwa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is You're Going Down. Messer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lumberjacks march-by Conway Twittie. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bwana Mkubwa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeff Messer! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Messer.
Messer connects with a body shot that sends Mkubwa's belly button to the back. Nice defenses there by Messer. Mkubwa throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Messer to counter with a crisp jab. Messer moves away from the strike by Mkubwa. Mkubwa misses with a hook to the body
and Messer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mkubwa pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Messer misses the shot to the body. Mkubwa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Messer.
Messer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mkubwa back to the cage. Messer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Sloppy strikes from Mkubwa. Those never looked like landing. Mkubwa misses with a combination
and Mkubwa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mkubwa misses with a low kick.
Mkubwa looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Messer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Mkubwa is rocked! Crack! Messer connects with the perfect overhand right and Mkubwa falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Messer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jeff Messer! A less than humble Jeff Messer misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. In defeat, Bwana Mkubwa stepped up to the mic, saying 'This loss shows that I need to address some serious holes in my game.'.
