Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spas Spasov (ranked 7097 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Champion (ranked 4844 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spas Spasov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doc Champion!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spasov slips a straight right by Champion.
As Champion looks to move away, Spasov throws a big counter combo but Champion just gets out of the way.
Champion feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Spasovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've been hearing reports that Spasov has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Spasov misses with a wild combination.
Spasov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A little jabbing left from Champion on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Champion throws a series of punches but Spasov moves out of range.
Good leg kick by Champion there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spasov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Champion bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Spasov's head.
Doc Champion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Spasov or perhaps it was just good defense by Champion, which made it look bad.

Spasov tries to bum rush Champion with a series of wild strikes but Champion uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Spasov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Champion is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Champion breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Champion connects with a good right hand that stumbles Spasov. Spasov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Doc Champion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Champion winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
