Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Cortez (ranked 4381 p4p, 560 weight class) and Elijah Pitakaka (ranked 5352 p4p, 647 weight class). Cortez comes to the cage accompanied by Wake Me Up. Pitakaka has chosen my dick as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitakaka lands a nice looking body kick.
Pitakaka throws a half hearted mid kick.
Cortez throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pitakaka.
Cortez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cortez lands a body shot.
Pitakaka keeps the fight on the outside.
Cortez moves into the clinch successfully.
Pitakaka has had enough of the clinch but Cortez keeps him there for the moment.

Cortez swings wildly with an uppercut but Pitakaka uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cortez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Cortez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pitakaka.
Pitakaka takes one on the chin but seems OK.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cortez sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Cortez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pitakaka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cortez throws a counter high kick but Pitakaka was just alert enough to avoid it.
Pitakaka throws a front kick that sends Cortez stumbling back into the cage.
Cortez tries to clinch up but Pitakaka circles away and keeps his distance.

Cortez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Pitakaka unleashes a big counter combination but Cortez bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Cortez lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pitakaka backwards.
Cortez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cortez moves out of range as Pitakaka throws a body kick.
Pitakaka motions for Cortez to come forward. Pitakaka throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Cortez moves into the clinch.
Pitakaka looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Pitakaka tries to circle away but Cortez has him pinned against the cage.

Cortez throws a head punch that misses.
Cortez lands a shoulder strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cortez presses Pitakaka against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Pitakaka looks winded!
Cortez stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Cortez digs a right hand into Pitakaka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pitakaka's gas tank.

That was a close round but I would say that Rafael Cortez will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cortez catches Pitakaka napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Pitakaka to the canvas!
Pitakaka is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!

Cortez gets to his feet and stands over Pitakaka, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Pitakaka felt that one! Cortez unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Pitakaka from any more punishment!
