Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roldan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cross attempts a counter takedown but Roldan avoids it well and moves away.
Cross takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Roldan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cross's waist but Cross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Roldan off to one side.
Some wild striking there from Roldan.
Nice takedown defense from Cross. No joy for Roldan on that attempt.
Cross appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Roldan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cross circles away.
Charley Cross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reinaldo Roldan.
Roldan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Roldan wants it to stay on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roldan tries a head kick but it misses.
Roldan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Roldan is just content to waste time from the top position. Cross takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Roldan content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Cross has locked up a guillotine! Cross's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Roldan is holding on here and Cross must be using up a lot of energy. Roldan has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Cross gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
