Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Logan Kain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roy Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kain is defended easily by Edwards.
Kain definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Edwards keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kain clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kain backwards.
Kain blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Edwards scores with a hook to the body.
Kain tries to circle away but Edwards has him pinned against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Edwards.

It looks like Logan Kain has been cut.

Kain ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kain no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Edwards must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Edwards tries to stand but Kain is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Edwards gets a double leg takedown into Kain's guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Edwards drives through with a takedown into Kain's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Kain pushes Edwards off and gets back to his feet.

Edwards closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kain throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Edwards shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kain as he jumps to the side.
It looked like Kain wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Kain closes the distance and clinches up with Edwards, looking for a takedown. Kain pushes Edwards against the cage but Edwards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Edwards feints the counter takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Logan Kain. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Edwards drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kain has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Edwards has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Edwards prevents the takedown attempt.
Edwards throws a head punch that misses.
Edwards lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Edwards.
Edwards lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

We've been informed that Edwards has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

A close round but Roy Edwards will probably get the nod.

Edwards scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Kain might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kain tries to get to full guard but Edwards has control of the leg.
Logan Kain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kain has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Edwards is working away from the top position though.
Edwards seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Kain shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kain showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Edwards pushes Kain off looking to stand but Kain dives back in and keeps control.

Kain is working for a submission of some sort.
Edwards is trying to stand up here but Kain is controlling him well.

Kain wants to take a breather but Edwards is having none of it.

Kain is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Edwards wants to get back to his feet.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Edwards tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kain manages to move to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edwards wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Kain wants to control the pace but Edwards is squirming around nicely.
Edwards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kain lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Edwards is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Edwards has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Edwards is trying to escape but he's just digging himself into more trouble. Kain manages to sink in the hooks and gets a rear naked choke to end the fight in impressive fashion.
