PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drake Fury (ranked 4592 p4p, 378 weight class) and Chris Cornell (ranked 3937 p4p, 339 weight class). Fury kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Run The Jewels - Legend Has It. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cornell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Cornell is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fury sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fury is trying to get back to full guard.
Fury moves into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fury is on top in guard.

Cornell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cornell looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Fury puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Cornell is looking for a sweep. Fury is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fury is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cornell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
