Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ali Oubaali (ranked 2924 p4p, 320 weight class) and Michael Koko (ranked 1265 p4p, 154 weight class). Oubaali comes into the arena with Belsunce Breakdown blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Oubaali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Koko!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oubaali is looking to clinch but Koko is avoiding it.

Oubaali has closed the distance and engaged Koko in a clinch.
Nice body punch from Oubaali.

Koko breaks from the clinch.
Koko lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Koko looks to throw a body kick
and Oubaali counters with a stiff right hand.
Oubaali keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Michael Koko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oubaali slips a straight right by Koko.
Oubaali fails with an attempt to clinch.
Koko throws a lazy right hand but Oubaali sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Koko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oubaali is looking to clinch but Koko is avoiding it.
Oubaali throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Koko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Oubaali fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Koko, pushing him back against the cage.
Oubaali fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Koko's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Oubaali lands a nice uppercut.
Koko lands a shot to the body.
Koko looking to throw knees to the head but Oubaali is blocking nicely.
Oubaali managing to block the knees to the body from Koko.
Oubaali lands a shoulder strike.
Oubaali throws a punch but it's blocked by Koko.
Koko lands with a right to the head.
Oubaali lands a hook to the side of the head.
Oubaali throws a punch but it's blocked by Koko.
Koko wants to break the clinch but can't.
Oubaali misses with some punches.
Koko throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Nice body punch from Oubaali.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Koko.

Oubaali dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oubaali tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Koko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A short right from Oubaali on the inside.
Oubaali throws a head punch that misses.

Oubaali breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Koko avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A little jabbing left from Koko on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Koko takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


Oubaali is rocked!
Oubaali moves out of range of the strikes.
A quick step to the side and Oubaali tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oh Oubaali is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Koko pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Oubaali seems to have got his legs back now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oubaali tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Oubaali defending well as Koko loads up on a big left hand.
Koko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oubaali tries to clinch but Koko is having none of it.
Koko throws out a counter right but Oubaali avoids it with no problem.
Oubaali tries to clinch up but Koko circles away and keeps his distance.

Koko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oubaali bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Oubaali takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Oubaali tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Koko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed right hand from Koko misses the target.
Koko throws a body punch but Oubaali moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Oubaali closes the distance and pushes Koko back into the cage.
Koko misses with a punch on the inside.
Koko misses with a body punch.
Oubaali lands a body shot.
Koko goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michael Koko will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Koko is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Oubaali moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ali Oubaali!
A relieved looking Ali Oubaali thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Michael Koko had this to say: 'Koko sad.'.
