Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyde has chosen Psycho Man as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Scott Hyde enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Hyde! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerr moves out of range of the body kick from Hyde.
Scott Hyde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hyde throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kerr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hyde's waist but Hyde gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kerr off to one side. Kerr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hyde wants to stand up but Kerr is controlling him. Kerr lands a couple of digs. Hyde wants to sweep but no luck. Hyde trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kerr postures up and lands a big shot to Hyde's brow. Hyde looking for a guillotine here but Kerr defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hyde wants to get back to his feet but Kerr is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hyde looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kerr trying to move into half guard but instead Hyde has managed to sweep! Hyde postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kerr is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hyde, into his guard. Kerr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hyde is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hyde is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hyde is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kerr is controlling him. Hyde has his foot on Kerr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kerr works his way back into a safe position though. Kerr won't allow Hyde to get back to his feet. Kerr trying to control the position from guard on top but Hyde is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kerr scoring with some ground and pound. Hyde is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hyde is trying to keep Kerr in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr thows a big elbow that misses. Hyde wants to stand and escape but Kerr is having none of it. Kerr preventing the sweep.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hyde misses with a looping right. A punch combination from Hyde misses. Hyde swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hyde throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hyde circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kerr dodges the punch combination from Hyde.
Kerr feints and as Hyde raises his hands in defense, Kerr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hyde looking for a guillotine here but Kerr defends easily.
Hyde looks gassed! Hyde throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kerr is in close to Hyde's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kerr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hyde stalks Kerr and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kerr's face. Kerr staggers backwards, shaken. Hyde throws a right and a left that both miss. Hyde paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Hyde scores with a nice right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hyde ducks under a wild hook from Kerr. Kerr shoots for a takedown but Hyde saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hyde throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kerr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hyde connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kerr on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hyde. Hyde obviously looking to wear him down.
Oooh a lovely combination from Hyde sends Kerr down but not out. Hyde dives into side control looking to finish. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Hyde dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kerr is holding his hands too far apart here. Hyde throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Kerr is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Scott Hyde!
