Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bull Pango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Oh my god.... Big Bob will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bull Pango!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Bob!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob tries to bum rush Pango with a series of wild strikes but Pango uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pango shoots in and bounces Bob off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bob pulls Pango in close to his closed guard and prevents Pango from doing any damage or advancing position.
Pango stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bob swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pango's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bob wants to sweep here but Pango controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pango thows a big elbow that misses.
Bob looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Pango passes Bob's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bob trying to control from the bottom.
Bob avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pango.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pango.
Pango misses with a takedown attempt - Bob sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bob throws a nice looking combination but Pango bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bob throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bob lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Big Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pango is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bob.


It looks like Bull Pango has been cut.

Pango gets a takedown into half guard.
Pango is keen to just control but Bob is a slippery customer.
Pango missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bob is looking to improve his position.
Pango thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bob's head.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pango in particular looking to stall.
Pango wants to free his trapped foot but Bob is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bob!
Horrible takedown by Pango or perhaps it was just good defense by Bob which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bull Pango. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pango shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bob's guard.

You can see the frustration on Bob's face as Pango controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bull Pango will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bob scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Bob throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bob throws a right hand that Pango ducks under and follows up with a left that Pango also avoids with ease.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bob will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pango drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bob is looking for a sweep.
Bob is trying to escape the position but Pango is controlling the position.
Pango wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy.
Pango remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pango works to advance to full mount. Bob defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Pango wants to control the pace but Bob is squirming around nicely.
Pango controlling from mount.
Bob wants to control but Pango is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bob is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Pango is staying active.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bull Pango dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Bull Pango's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Big Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pango circles away quickly and effectively.
Pango shoots in looking for a takedown. Bob tries to sprawl out of it but Pango keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bob manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pango closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bob circles away.
Bull Pango is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pango uses his free foot to push down on Bob's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bob.

Pango lands a big shot there that rocks Bob but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee warns Bob that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Big Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bob is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Pango content just to control the position here.

Bob manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Pango takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bob wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pango in particular looking to stall.
Bull Pango is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bob wants to improve his position but Pango is controlling well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bull Pango showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pango, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
