Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Costas Adamou (ranked 25424 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jabari Perkins (ranked 24231 p4p, 0 weight class). Jabari Perkins is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Costas Adamou! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jabari Perkins ! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adamou rushes Perkins and presses him up against the cage. Perkins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Perkins lands with a right to the head. Adamou lands a takedown into guard.
Adamou scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Adamou is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Adamou has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Adamou is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perkins is working an open guard so Adamou takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perkins tries to clinch there but Adamou circles away.
Perkins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Adamou manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Adamou darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Perkins is looking to get back to is feet but Adamou passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adamou remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Adamou decides to stand back up. Adamou steps back and let's Perkins get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamou pushes Perkins up against the cage in a clinch. Adamou is looking to take this one to the mat. Adamou tries to break the clinch but Perkins is controlling the position. Adamou wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Perkins has him pressed against the cage. Adamou turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Adamou staying calm. Adamou is putting a hurting on Perkins here, landing some big shots from side control.
It looks like Jabari Perkins has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adamou in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Perkins is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
