Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Lyman Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mateusz Gamrot! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gamrot looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Shaw! Shaw is trying to control Gamrot's posture but Gamrot avoids it. Gamrot working the head with strikes. Gamrot tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gamrot in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Gamrot wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shaw, who protects the arm well. Shaw can't do much from the bottom here. Gamrot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gamrot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gamrot controls the position. Gamrot tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw wants to get back to his feet but Gamrot is dominant here and he's now got Shaw's back! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Shaw wants to get back to his feet. Gamrot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Shaw tries to escape the position.
Gamrot just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Gamrot.

Gamrot sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Shaw taps out!
