The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mangalas misses the jab.
Syndal appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Syndal counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mangalas looks winded!

No joy there for Mangalas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mangalas misses with a left hand
and Syndal counters with a huge left! Mangalas is in big trouble! He's backing up but Syndal isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Mangalas from any more damage. A dominating finish by Syndal!

During a confident post fight interview, Maverick Syndal thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
