Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Over it! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Riley! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. it tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Riley is in it's guard.
it wriggles free and stands up. it looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! it looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Riley is looking to clinch but it is avoiding it.
We've been told by it's head coaches at Cozad The Island that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. it throws a right and a left that Riley avoids nicely. Riley is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Riley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Riley lands in his opponent's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Riley controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Riley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Riley is stalling in the full guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Riley gets to his feet. it looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Riley gets a clinch. Riley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as it walks away with a smile on his face. Riley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. it throws a right and a left that both miss. Riley tries to counter by closing the distance. it throws a series of punches but Riley avoids them all with ease. Riley throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Over it has been cut.
Riley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches it napping and manages to drive through into side control!

it is rocked! Riley is chipping away with strikes.
Oh it is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riley in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... it is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Alex Riley!
