Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawid Kasperski (ranked 4160 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuta Kubo (ranked 4395 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Yuta Kubo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dawid Kasperski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yuta Kubo! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasperski takes the fight into the clinch. Kasperski breaks the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kasperski or perhaps it was just good defense by Kubo, which made it look bad. Kubo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kasperski to the ground. Kubo is now in Kasperski's guard. Kasperski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kubo is one step ahead there. Kubo passes easily into side control. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kasperski is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kasperski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kasperski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kubo is aware though and is defending well. Kubo wanted to stand there but Kasperski had control of the position. Kasperski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kubo is looking to work some ground and pound but Kasperski has wrist control. Kasperski working a defensive guard here.
Kubo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kasperski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kasperski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kubo is aware though and is defending well. Kasperski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kubo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kasperski trying to keep a closed guard but Kubo is proving a slippery customer.
Kubo trying to control but Kasperski is working from the bottom. Kasperski has his foot on Kubo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kubo works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kubo trying to control but Kasperski is working from the bottom. Kubo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kasperski works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kubo tries to clinch but Kasperski moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kubo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kasperski pinned against the cage. Kasperski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kasperski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kasperski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nice sprawl there from Kasperski as Kubo shoots in. Kubo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kasperski avoids it really well and circles away. Dawid Kasperski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuta Kubo. Kasperski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kubo pinned against the cage. Kubo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kasperski throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kasperski throws a series of punches but Kubo avoids them all with ease. Kubo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kasperski tries to avoid it but Kubo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kasperski to the ground. Kasperski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kubo fails to land the takedown. It appears Kasperski was looking to counter with a kick there.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Kasperski clinches with his opponent.

Kubo closes the distance and clinches up with Kasperski, looking for a takedown. Kubo pushes Kasperski against the cage but Kasperski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kubo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kubo tries to close the distance and clinch but Kasperski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kasperski clinches up with Kubo and pushes him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kubo connects with a body shot. Kubo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kasperski's waist but Kasperski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kubo off to one side. Kubo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kasperski sprawls well. Kasperski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kubo gets slowly back to his feet. Kubo leaves Kasperski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kasperski has managed to clinch.

Kasperski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kubo wants to counter the offense by Kasperski and move into the clinch position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kubo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kasperski slaps away a takedown attempt from Kubo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kubo tries to clinch but Kasperski moves away and Kasperski counters with a head kick. Kasperski shoots in but Kubo avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kasperski misses the shot to the body. Kasperski scores with a nice right hand.

It seemed like Kubo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kasperski shoots in but no luck this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kasperski keeps the fight on the outside. Kubo shoots in but no luck this time. Kasperski throws a sloppy head kick and Kubo moves out of range easily. Kubo tests Kasperski's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kubo scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kubo tries to clinch up but Kasperski circles away and keeps his distance. Kubo fails with the takedown and Kasperski counters with a head kick. That will keep Kubo thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kasperski shoots in for a takedown but Kubo shows good takedown defense. Kasperski misses with a takedown and Kubo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Kasperski. No joy for Kubo on that attempt. Dawid Kasperski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kasperski has Kubo up against the cage in a clinch.
Kasperski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kubo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kasperski pushes Kubo against the cage but Kubo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kubo tries to clinch up but Kasperski circles away and keeps his distance. Kubo just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKasperski. Kubo wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kubo thuds a left hand into Kasperski's body. Kasperski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kubo avoids it really well and circles away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Some wild striking there from Kubo.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dawid Kasperski will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

He's got hold of a leg but Kubo swivels and escapes. Kasperski moves into the clinch. Kasperski is trying to pull guard but Kubo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kubo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kasperski.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kasperski tries to clinch and Kubo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kasperski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kubo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kasperski looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kasperski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kubo wanted to stand there but Kasperski had control of the position. Kubo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kubo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kubo works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kubo is looking for a kimura but Kasperski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kubo to get the leverage. Kubo with the ground and pound but Kasperski uses the opportunity to regain guard. Kubo trying to control the position from guard on top but Kasperski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kasperski pulls Kubo in close to his closed guard and prevents Kubo from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kasperski shoots in for a takedown but Kubo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kubo throws a nice head kick!

Kubo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kasperski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kasperski tries to close the distance and clinch but Kubo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. As Kasperski backs off Kubo throws a huge counter combo but Kasperski manages to avoid it all. Kasperski drives through and clinches with Kubo against the cage.
Kubo wants a takedown but no success here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kubo letting Kasperski take a breather here. Yuta Kubo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawid Kasperski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kubo looking to slow down the pace here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Yuta Kubo. I think Kasperski has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
