Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Armbar as Salmon shoots in.
Armbar connects with a leg kick. Salmon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Armbar closes the distance and pushes Salmon back into the cage.
Salmon tries to break free but Armbar pushes him back against the cage.
Armbar manages to break the clinch.

Armbar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice side step and Salmon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Salmon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Armbar defends it nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Armbar scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Salmon doesn't seem bothered though.

And Salmon tries to counter it with a takedown but Armbar pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Armbar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Armbar is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Salmon dives into side control.

Salmon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Armbar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Armbar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Salmon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Rico Armbar will probably get the nod.

and Salmon counters with a straight right hand.
Armbar swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Salmon tries to close the distance and clinch but Armbar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Armbar throws a nice looking combination but Salmon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Armbar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Salmon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Armbar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
