Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mincer Mark (ranked 6932 p4p, 0 weight class) and Captain Blackbeard (ranked 5902 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blackbeard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mark after a bit of a struggle.
Mark is trying to drag Blackbeard to the mat but Blackbeard just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Blackbeard has Mark pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Blackbeard pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mark tumbling to the mat - Blackbeard dives into Mark's guard.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Mark here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mark is in close to Blackbeard's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Mark is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blackbeard can do to turn this around?
Mark slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mincer Mark.
Well Mark has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
